THE FORCE OF FAITH! 10-01-17

     Creativity is like water...it is a force! We can harness the power of water; however, we can't always control it. We can harness the power of creativity; however, we can't always control it.

     Water gives life to the earth!

     Creativity shows us the beauty of this life!

     My first full day of writing was like fighting a current. Have you ever been rafting and tried to walk in water that's up to your knees against a strong current? That's what today was sort of like.

     I didn't quite make my minimum goal today...but that is perfectly okay as this book will not be written in one day. When it comes to comparing creativity and water, think of it like a wave in the ocean. As a mortal man, I have two options...I can either force my will against that wave; which will only end with the wave overpowering me as I struggle to get my head above water...or I can embrace the wave....like a surfer! I can learn to glide within its magnificent power as I gather from its strength.

     I am far from mastering creativity....at least in respect to writing. I have simply made a commitment to try and learn from it.

     I watched a video from Brooke's Fund Run last October and I was touched by words both Cody and Brooke spoke. Their legacy was centered in their faith. They have the faith to be healed...yet, they are praying for the faith, withstanding an outcome in which Brooke is not healed; if that is what God has in store for them. God is a God of miracles and that He can and does heal on a daily basis, but let's not tie our faith to the realization to those miracles.

     Brooke said, at the time of her diagnosis, that the cancer was in every bone in her body, sparing her hands and her feet. This reminded her of Jesus as he had marks, from the Atonement, in his hands and feet. She has dedicated her feet and her hands....her feet will always move forward and her hands will be tools as she serves Him and others!

     Pain is like water...it is a force! We can harness the power of water; however, we can't always control it. We can harness the power of pain; however, we can't always control it.

     Pain allows us to experience the fragility of this life!

     When it comes to comparing pain and water, think of it like a wave in the ocean.
