FOR UNTO LIGHT WE REACH
Waves of breath swell within his chest
Lifes mystery only moments away
We are born more than once
Reflection is a gift revealed in sacred increments
"As in Adam, all men die.."
A phrase which stings the instant it is realized
While heading East on 694, Adam flipped his blinker to the right. After several overtime shifts in a row, he was exhausted from the toil on his body. As the air conditioning cooled his tired body, his thoughts drifted to dinner.
"Chinese food sounds nice," he said to himself.
The evening was drawing to a close while the sun reflected in his rearview mirror. Looking to the right he admired the beauty of the Mississippi River as it flowed towards Minneapolis. "What is going on?" he asked himself.
He didn't want to exit the vehicle for fear of being hit; however, there wasn't another car in sight. Looking back into the rearview mirror, he noticed the sun was getting brighter and brighter. It even appeared to be getting closer. In a flash, the light behind him zoomed over his car, which caused Adam to duck. Cautiously, he raised his head to look out the front window. In complete and utter shock, there was a man standing in front of his vehicle. Simultaneously, a wave of fear and peace swept over his body. He couldn't explain it, but, he felt like he knew the man standing in front of his vehicle...
